By ‘know’, I mean to experience for yourself, and with your whole being. This is a knowing that should vibrates in all your senses and in your heart. It will mean giving your undivided attention to your subject, which in itself is an act of love. So often we know about something but have not experienced it. We need to re-awaken our senses and our sense of wonder. Seek to discover that each part of creation is unique and has a capacity to reveal wonder upon wonder to us. Learn to enjoy a wonder full world.
Each part of creation has a capacity to reveal wonder.
Not long ago, I was spreading a spoonful of honey on to my bread and became aware not only of its beautiful golden colour but also the smell as I looked forward to its taste. On the single spoonful of honey is the life’s time work of 12 bees. To create a pound of honey about a thousand bees between them will have travelled as many miles as would have taken them over twice around the world and helped to pollinate over two million flowers. This is precious stuff indeed. Rejoice in the wonder of the creation of honey.
All things are hitched
Nothing in all of creation stands alone. To think you are independent is an illusion. Your health and well being depends upon so many things. Some things we take for granted until we are without of them. We could last without food for about three weeks, and without water for three days. But we could only last without air for three minutes. We live and move in air; it is all around us and within us. Take a few deep breaths and be grateful for the air you breathe. Learn to express gratitude for all that sustains your life.
All creatures are unique.
The world has a wonderful array of life, not only are species unique but each creature is unique. Learn that no two days are the same, no two people, no two animals, no two flowers. Creation loves diversity. To treat any creature just as a commodity or a cash crop fails to see it is subject in its own right and should be allowed its own space.
You cannot be healthy in an unhealthy world
Illness are often due the unhealthy atmosphere in which people live. Yet humans are adding 6 billion tons of carbon a year to the atmosphere and causing changes that are already having disastrous effects.
The seas are faring no better. The sea is so polluted with plastic that most fish are absorbing some. sea creatures are eating plastic. It also threatens whales and dolphins as they ingest it. We do not stand alone as we are also ingesting plastic
We have the ability to change our world
Yet, there is still hope. Already some changes have been made. The year 2017 was the first year that Britain produced more power from renewable resources than from fossil fuels, which meant putting less carbon into the atmosphere. Now greater efforts are being made to cut back on plastic and replace it by less harmful substances. You able to take part in changing our world.
