Upon the release of his new book The Expansion- author Christoph Martin tells our readers a little bit about the author behind the books.

Absolutely the best thing that has happened to me is the existence of my twin children. Every day I have to pinch myself that there are two human beings living with me that were not in this world just a few years ago. It amazes me every day!
I am involved in the production of two Swiss Movie Projects – as preparation for my biggest dream: to bring “The Expansion” one day to the big screen!
I love Conspiracy! There is nothing more intriguing than people being misled, sometimes based on their very own fears or desires. The absolute Mount Everest of Conspiracy is when, in the end, they learn a truth … so all the suffering was actually worth it.
Before starting to write The Expansion Series, I created another completely different type of story: the first Panamanian Bobsled Team! We almost made it – after only 3 years of racing – to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi 2014. Here’s a short trailer of that story, called “Spirit of Panama!”
The best part about writing The Expansion was the collaboration with my co-author Libby O’Loghlin. We found something that is very hard to find: two people whose skills are complementary, and who enhance each other’s talents. It’s a true pleasure to have found a “partner in crime” and I am very much looking forward to the rollout of our next three “Expansion Series” books over the coming years!
I think life is awesome! My slightly Buddhist approach – “Live and let live” – helps me sail through tough waters, and enjoy the quiet ones too!
Besides creating stories, I love restoring old houses. At the moment, you can most often find me in a pristine, small alpine village in Switzerland <http://www.wanderland.ch/en/services/places/ort-052.html>, enjoying time with my family and friends.
I love Sushi – and I love to cook Italian food!
I have been fortunate to live in two of the most diverse, different and beautiful countries in the world: Switzerland and Panama.
The characters in The Expansion appeared in my head one day when I was on a flight from Panama to Switzerland! I couldn’t get them out of my head, so I started typing on my iPhone, and—six hours later!—I had an overview of the first book. I love reading and telling stories about complicated characters. I find it especially compelling when characters take a clearly wrong decision – but for the right reason! I hope you enjoy the fun and diversity of the characters in “The Expansion” as much as I enjoyed creating them!

The Expansion
