People experience too many mis-experiences.
We're disconnected in some ways,
even when you are close.
I rumoured the lights in the window
were dimming and swelling,
enclosing a mystery of scandalous nature.
Study revealed there was actually nothing,
but the tinted edge of the
windscreen changing my view,
as the window ledge caused me
to squint and misconstrue.
You came back with pizza
and the whole of the sky
was an ocean of clouds
but for the small pool
with a full moon
misplaced in the middle,
bobbing up and down.
It was awful pizza, we agreed.
And I told you how, once,
my honesty was punished
while others lied freely.
You've never lied to me
except when it was clearly
a lie.
And you didn't believe it was possible
"not to worry about things",
but when you said it
somehow it sounded true.
