The rhymes in my verses are not yet meaningfully deep
So far the words I utter is shallow as the life I have so far conceived
My verses have not reached its true potential, the wisdom it seeks
A poet’s true talent of verses comes from the life that one lives
The source of wisdom that gives
True meaning not just an ordinary rhyme
Telling one’s deepest thoughts and life experiences of a different time
I am only a seedling on the verge to sprout
Looking up at those tall trees, admiring what they have become
With age comes the grace of wisdom
More experiences, more inspirations
An ageing poet’s true potential.
