It was announced that John Cleese will be the next celeb to join the autobiography bandwagon. He has recently signed to say he will write an autobiography fifty years after beginning his career.
Cleese, who has just been married for the fourth time came into to the forefront as a scriptwriter of comedy and then followed with an appearance on the The Frost Report which resulted in finding the Monty Python Flying Circus group.
We first saw him on the big screen in A Fish Called Wanda and then was aptly cast as R and Q in the great British institution that are the Bond films. He also shot to fame as the memorable stress-head Basil Faulty in Faulty Towers, which still resonates with younger audiences today for its comedy timing.
The book follows the end of the stand-up Alimony Tour and the failure of his third marriage and divorce in 2008.
We have seen his writing talents with co-author Robin Skynner in the two books centered on relationships Families and how to survive them and Life and how to survive it.
Unfortunately there is no publishing date for this book yet; however it will certainly be one for the Christmas list in an upcoming year. Of all the comedians who have released an autobiography, I am sure this will be one of the most anticipated!
