Whether your indulgent read is a gritty crime thriller, heart wrenching fiction or the biography of a great political leader; you can now vote and see your favourite books and authors recognized at the 20th GALAXY British Book Awards. For the third year running, GALAXY is excited and proud to continue to be the title sponsor of The British Book Awards. Known as the ‘Nibbies' and the Oscars of the book world, this glamorous ceremony will take place on 3rd April. Last year's event boasted a star studded line up with JK Rowling, Katie Price, Geri Halliwell, Lord Richard Attenborough, Alesha Dixon, Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Richard and Judy in attendance. But it is not only the glamour that sets the GALAXY British Book Awards apart; this is the only literary awards that are based on votes from the public. The shortlist contains a mix of high brow literary prize winners, as well as international best sellers, and takes into account what people really like to read! This year actress Emilia Fox will be presenting the GALAXY British Book of the Year award. Emilia comments, "There is such a fantastic range of thought provoking and indulgent reads this year. I am very much looking forward to the GALAXY British Book Awards and really excited about revealing who the public and literary panel will choose as their GALAXY British Book of the Year."
