For a while now ex performer Suchitra Krishnamurthy has been pointing the finger of blame at a certain Bollywood actress, saying she had an affair with her then partner, the filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor.Suchitra has even put together numerous libellous editorial pieces on websites about the leading Bollywood star. When Suchitra was asked of late who the actress was, she circuitously named actress Preity Zinta. Yet Suchitra is disgusted that in recent times Preity Zinta actually contacted her and attempted to give her account of the whole episode between Shekhar and herself. Suchitra Krishnamurthy has featured in several movies and has also completed a production alongside Shahrukh Khan previously.
Suchitra left the film industry after getting married and becoming a mother. She has a young daughter Kaveri. Suchitra and Shekhar have just divorced and now reportedly have a much more harmonious relationship.
Ms Krishamurthy is often spotted going around on the party circuit, and is now eager to make a comeback in commercial flicks. She is also dedicating time to her paintings. Suchitra had also released a few song albums too. She was distraught about the failure of her marriage and at one time even thought of committing suicide. However, she’s now attempting to turn her life around. Suchitra continues to be aghast though by Preity Zinta’s nerve to get in touch and put forward her explanations. Suchitra says, “Preity called me and asked why I was slurring her reputation? How dare she call me? She dare not call me again.” Suchitra declares that Preity even attempted to persuade her and her child to go to the premiere of Jaanemann. Suchitra says “She was holding a screening for kids and wanted Kaveri and I to attend. She wanted to build this family image, but I am appalled at her guts.” When Preity talked to Suchitra she allegedly even took a stab at explaining to her that she was getting wed and that Shekhar would give her away like a father gives away his daughter.
Shekhar is a director and has been involved in several pictures like Bandit Queen and the highly praised Elizabeth. He has also acted, produced and penned scripts. But Shekhar has never divulged all to the media about the details of his private life and Preity Zinta has refuted any romantic relationship with Shekhar.
