Suniel Shetty could soon be facing time behing bars as a court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him after he failed to appear before a judge in a cheque bounce case filed by a city-based shop owner.
The Non-bailable warrants issued by the local court are returnable for December 23.
"A source reveals, "Local shop owner Subhash Gulati had alleged that a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs issued by Hyundai India Telecom Limited (HITL), Chennai, was dishonoured by a bank due to insufficient amount in the account of the company.
"Shetty is one of the directors of the company. In his petition filed in November, 2006 for setting aside the ongoing proceedings in the court, Shetty had denied any connection with HITL."
Wether he is associated with the company or not Shetty would have to follow the court order and spend some quality time in the Jail.
