Shilpa Shetty wherever she goes. Recently the actress, who is hosting the second season of "Bigg Boss", was attacked by the supporters of Republican Party of India (RPI) leader Ramdas Athavale in Lonavala near here. On Friday after Shilpa finished recording her interview with TV tycoon Ekta and her brother Tusshar Kapoor in Lonavala, the actress was stopped from returning to Mumbai by Athavale s supporters who laid siege to the "Bigg Boss" venue and pelted her car with stones. Athavale claims he was approached to go into the "Bigg Boss" house of the reality show but was dropped "because of Shilpa s manoeuvres". But Shilpa says she has nothing to do with the selection of participants in the show where they spend up to three months locked inside a house, all their moves recorded by TV cameras. Talking about the attack on her, Shilpa told IANS: "They wouldn't let me leave. And they were pelting stones at my car! What had my poor car done to earn their wrath? What have I done, will someone please tell me? "Will Mr. Athavale and his supporters please understand that I had nothing to with the nomination of candidates for Bigg Boss?" Athavale s supporters ransacked the Mumbai office of Colors channel and blocked the road outside soon after the show went on air last month. They even burnt Shilpa s effigies.
