Shilpa sporting the bald look for new movie
Stunning actress Shilpa Shetty is making her movie comeback with her first ever English film 'The Desire - Journey of a Woman.'
The movie is a Indo-Chinese movie directed by R.Sarath. It revolves around Shilpa who plays the role of a classical Indian dancer who later turns into a monk - hence the bold look but it's not real!
The 36-year-old actress told Daily News & Analysis India: "I opted for prosthetic make up. Getting the bald look was a three hours job. My film is complete now and has been shown at various international film festivals.”
Superstar Chinese actor Xia Yu is also starring in the movie along with Indian stars such as, Jaya Prada, Anumpam Kher, Sheetal Menon and Sachin Khedekar.
The movie which is produced by her mother Sunnanda Shetty is currently doing the rounds of various international film festivals. It bagged the Best Narrative Award at the Boston Film Festival.
Shilpa who was last seen in 2008's Bollywood flick 'Dostana' for a special dance appearance, was strutting her stuff on the red carpet yesterday at the New York Film Festival. Her new movie will be showing at the festival on the 22nd and the 24th of August.
There is no release date for the movie as of yet.
