Shekhar says, “There exists no relationship between Ms. Preity Zinta and myself beyond that of an acquaintance or a friend. I have lived abroad for 12 years and have little social or professional intercourse in India anyway. I pray that all parties involved find peace, happiness and harmony in their respective lives." However, Suchitra Krishamurthy and Preity Zinta seem to have decided not maintain a dignified silence. Both of them earlier restricted their dislike with snide comments or stony silences.Suchitra in a recent explosive interview accused Preity of breaking up her marriage while Preity in retaliation said, “It’s unfortunate that I'm bearing the brunt of someone else's paranoia. It clearly shows that Suchitra is unstable and I wish her a speedy recovery." A view which tends to be backed by Bollywood insiders who insist that in spite of Suchitra's allegations, Preity and Shekar were never even speculated about in Bollywood circles.Considering both are high profile stars, some people are even saying that this controversy could be a twisted attempt to garner publicity.
