Shah Rukh Khan will undergo surgery in India for a painful shoulder.
The Bollywood actor had bravely fought through his injury to promote his new film, "Billu" over the weekend, but the pain refused to subside.
After flying to London with showbiz pals Lara Dutta and Irrfan Khan, he will now book in for the surgery after the film's premiere, when he has a gap in his hectic schedule.
He will have the surgery done in Mumbai, after causing controversy in 2003 when he opted for a London hospital to take care of his back pains.
"When he got his back surgery done in London there was criticism about his lack of faith in Indian doctors. Shahrukh feels that some of the finest doctors in the world are in Mumbai," a close friend told a Masala source.
"He sees no need to go to the West for treatment," King Khan's friend added.
