The Bollywood dancing diva has become the ambassador for Sanjeev Kapoor’s new food channel called Food Food.
Sanjeev who has seen super success with his cooking show Khana Khanza decided to go one step ahead and launch his very own channel dedicated to what he loves best. Food.
According to research conducted by the channel they found that Indians prefer local food, from all across the country, which is why the channel will be keeping the focus on desi: with Indian food and chefs and Indian locales.
On DNAIndia Sanjeev said: “In India people are as passionate about food as cricket and bollywood. I was working on this project for seven years. The channel will set a benchmark in India. We are more than just a cooking show. There will be celebrity shows, cooking competition and travelogues."
He added: “Here, people still have some issues with regards to availability of ingredients, equipment, techniques and so on. We are therefore focussing on issues that are relevant to our viewers.”
Madhuri who has been away from our cinema screens for a while said: “"I am excited about this new concept and I am looking forward to contributing as its lifestyle ambassador.”
When asked which Khan she would cook dinner for and what Madhuri replied with: "I will make a vegetarian recipe for Shahrukh. He is very sweet. And even if the food is not that good, he would say it is lovely.”
The channel will go on air from January 24.
