The name of the English film in question is Maaya. The film required the actress to play a role of a prostitute. When initially approached with the first few scenes she reluctantly did them without a complaint. After a while, she stopped attending the films shooting schedules. The films director then approached her for the completion of the shooting of the film. Namitha refused to act in the film because her role in the film was just too obscene to portray. She asked for her scenes from the film to be removed.
The director refuses the proposal and demanded that she fulfill her contractual obligations. Namitha reluctant to budge has made it clear that she will not be a part of the film.
