Bollywood Denial For Sherawat
The rumour mill has actively been announcing that Mallika Sherawat would star in Ram Gopal Varma's upcoming film, Contract. However, we can reveal the truth - the talanted actress is not a part of the film, is part of a clever publicity stratagy.Mallika only appears in the poster in the film, and the poster in question is hung on a mirror, where an associate of a Malaysia-based mafia leader is fantasising over the Bollywood stunner.So if you're going to watch Contract, don't expect to see Mallika in the film. But better news for her fans it will only be a short wait before she graces the silver screen starring in Ugly Aur Pagli.Contract meanwhile see's Ram Gopal Varma dip back into the underworld his previous movies of a similar genere were Company and Satya. In Contact the theme again revolves round organised crime.Contract though moves on from Satya, set in the time when extortion was at its peak whereas Contract deals with the the link between the underworld and terrorism. Strictly speaking it could be classified more an anti terrorist film.The basic plot involves an individual living against the current backdrop of crime, terrorism, and extortion in the city and demonstrates his ability to survive and then redeem himself.
Varma adamantly denies that Contract is part of a trilogy saying each of his three movies has a self contained plot with a beginning a middle and an ending also saying he may want to make 100 more stories.
Contract is not a dark film like Satya or Company, it has been packaged differently and is unlike any other Bollywood masala film.
