Lady Gaga loving a bit of Bollywood
Lady Gaga was recently a guest on Indian chat show 'Simi Selects India's Most Desirable.' The show which is hosted by former actress Simi Garewal is very popular in India and now after eccentric Gaga's appearance, it's the talk of the town.
The extravagent pop diva told Simi how she is a fan of Bollywood flicks: "“I have seen a few Bollywood films and I love how theatrical they are, and that’s my favorite part, that they are so surreal and full of fantasy."
The five-time Grammy Award winner also revealed her love for Indian food:"I love spicy curry. I used to eat Indian food in New York.”
It's a good job she has a taste for spice seeing as she confirmed that she will be coming to India in October for a promotional trip. I'm sure the pop sensation will be dining at all the top class restaurants, on her visit.
Simi showed Gaga her appreciation for her coming on the show by giving her a beautiful velvet lehenga encrusted in pearls, designed by Anamika Khanna. She also gave the singer a DVD of Bollywood chartbusters with dances choreographed by the infamous Farah Khan, who has choreographed Bollywood-inspired performances for Shakira and Kylie Minogue. Gaga was thrilled with the DVD saying: "Oh my God I would love to see this, i’m going to watch this tonight."
Host Simi told the Hindustani Times that Gaga also loved her stunning dress: "I wish the cameras had recorded her expression of wonderment when she opened the box and saw the outfit."
Gaga's designers were so impressed by the outfit that they left with Anamika's contact details.
Simi also told the newspaper that Gaga said she will wear the dress when she comes to India in October.
