The Film has hit thhe screens on friday.Provoked, based on Ahluwalias autobiography Circle of Light, follows her lonely struggle in an abusive 10-year marriage, her retaliation through the murder of her violent husband and the efforts of women activists Southall Black Sisters to bring her justice. The film was earlier premiered at Cannes Film Festival and the IIFA weekend in Dubai in 2006. At both the places it won rave reviews. Mundhra, the maker of the film, has termed Aishwarya Rai’s performance as mind-blowing and best till date. Kiranjeet Ahluwalia too showered praises on Aishwarya’s acting skills and said that she has done full justice to the role.
