The actress is the latest Bollywood celebrity to get a waxwork made, making her the 6th Bollywood star to have a wax figure. The others are Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. However while her Bollywood co-stars are in London, Kareena will be the first Bollywood star to be at the Madame Tassuads in Blackpool.
Kareena will also launch a global Bollywood exhibition where the Bollywood wax figures will travel six cities. According to The Asian Today, the Bollywood diva said: "It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for Indian cinema."
This special Bollywood exhibition is a first for Madame Tussauds, giving fans the chance to see all the Bollywood wax figures together. A special room dedicated to Bollywood is also being created at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool.
There is a week-long celebration planned in October for when Kareena's waxwork arrives. Creating a buzzing Bollywood experiance for all visitors.
Matthew Titherington, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, said: “We know that the UK will be very excited to see Kareena’s new wax figure. It is the first time she has been immortalised in wax and the first time these figures will be grouped together. It is the perfect place to launch our Bollywood World tour with the dedicated Bollywood room and look forward to welcoming her fans to the attraction when the figure goes on display in October.”
