Kangana Ranaut is stepping up her promotion for her new film, Fashion.The release of the film is just a fortnight away, and one aspect that has really captured the audience's attention is Kanagna's acting in the movie. In one scene she is pictured sitting completely lost on a pavement, as crowds of people walk by without so much as looking or paying any attention to her. The reason this has caused such a furore, is that this one shot has sent speculation into overdrive that Kangana's character is based on real life model, Geetanjali Nagpal.The rumour has been floating around for about a year, and it seems to confirm things as Geetanjali too, was found in a similar state in New Delhi before she was treated in a hospital.Madhur Bhandarkar has not confirmed this officially, and refused to divulge anything about Kangana's character in the film. He merely said, ''Kangana plays a model in the film and goes through a lot in her life. She takes on drugs as well. Beyond that I don't want to comment anything around her role being modelled in Geetanjali. Check out the film and you would know reality by yourself.''
