Imran Khan
The Bollywood actor tied the knot with his long term girlfriend Avantika Malik this weekend. The couple chose to have a simple registry marriage since Imran comes from a Muslim family while Avantika is Hindu.
The actor was quoted by Divanee.com as saying: “I personally didn’t want to commit our wedding to one religion or another. We felt the best way for us was that we would keep it neutral and have a court marriage.”
The pair who got engaged last January had a civil registered marriage at his uncle’s house. Better known as the Bollywood superstar that is Aamir Khan. .
The couple wore traditional Indian outfits and after the ceremony they had a private dinner at five-star Taj Lands End Hotel with close family and friends.
The newly weds are flying off for their honeymoon in Phuket, Thailand. But will be accompanied with a staggering 50 guests!
Won’t be getting much privacy then!
