Gracy Singh is set to mesmerise audiences with Rabindranath Tagore's famous dance ballet "Shyama" in Kolkata.
The graceful mover who has appeared in "Lagaan" song "Radha kaise na jale" in the past, has often been praised for her elegant and graceful moves.
She is set to perform "Shyama" Nov 16 in Kolkata, and has admitted finding the role challenging but extremeley exciting.
The ballet narrates the story of a dancer, played by Singh who falls in love with a foreign merchant. It explores all the key elements of an epic love story- eternal love, temptation, and manipulation all play their part. The ballet will be presented in Bharatnatyam, which is a traditional Indian dance form.
"I have done Bharatnatyam shows before, but I always wanted to do a ballet since that gives an opportunity to dance as well as act. Both are my passions. So I'm really happy that I got an opportunity to do this," said Gracy.
