Anil Kapoor's brother Sanjay Kapoor has announced that he will be remaking 1975 Bollywood thriller hit, 'Khel Khel Mein.' The actor-turned-producer has said to have paid a heavy amount to acquire the copyright for the movie.
45-year-old Sanjay confirmed that Shibani Bathija will write the script for the movie. Shibani has produced the scripts for hit movies such as 'Fanaa,' 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and 'My Name is Khan.'
The original movie stars Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Rakesh Roshan as college students.
So far Sanjay has not approached anyone to cast in the movie. It is all in very early stages as of yet.
Remaking movies is becoming quite a trend in B-town, with many lined up. Including Karan Johar who is remaking 'Agneepath,' Rohit Shetty who is remaking 'Angoor' and 'Gol Maal.'
David Dhawan is remaking 'Chashme Baddoor,' and actors Sanjay Dutt and Soham Shah are remaking 'Satte Pe Satta.'
That's rather a lot of remakes going on. Whatever happened to orginality?
