The Bollywood industry is booming at the minute, while the rest of the word faces an economic crisis.
According to new reports, Bollywood looks set to top $21 billion over the next five years, building on an annual 15% increase since 2006.
A joint study by a leader chamber and consultancy are said to be behind the latest figures for the Bollywood industry.
With many big stars now making their way into mainstream films, as well as Hollywood actors rumoured to be making the move into Bollywood, no wonder the industry is growing.
The success of Slumdog Millionaire too will have helped to boost the industry.
"In many ways, 2008 was a testing time for the industry," says the study.
"With the global economic slowdown affecting advertising spends, sectors like TV, print, radio and outdoor that depend on advertising revenues were affected," reports Masala.
