Rakhi Sawant in Yash Raj Films'
Rakhi Sawant will finally realise her ambition, to feature in a Yash Raj film. Rakhi will be seen sharing the screen with Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in Yash Raj's next, which is to be directed by Anurag Singh.Although still under wraps, the spokesperson from Yash Raj films confirmed, that Rakhi Sawant has been signed for YRF production in a Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee film to play the role of a dancer from Bhand Samaj doing Nautanki.
Afzal Khan's Magnum Opus ‘Mehbooba'
Afzal Khan, producer of 'Hum Kisise Kum Nahin,' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai, is back with an emotional love story produced and directed by himself. The film 'Mehbooba'. stars Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Manisha Koirala and is set to release nationwide on 11th July, 2008. Shot in three continents, America, Europe and Asia, and four different countries as the story's backdrop, with New York, Budapest, Austria, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Mumbai as the key locations, the film boasts of lavish settings and locales, expensive sets under the supervision of production designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai, eye-catching cinematography with lensing by ace DOP Ashok Mehta, and some breath- taking action with Bhiku Verma as the stunt coordinator.The music is composed by Ismail Darbar who returns with a truly memorable score in the vein of his earlier works 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Devdas'. Khan has toiled four years to mount this magnum opus, leaving no stone unturned in bringing his vision to the silver screen, and the promos are testimony to the effort and creativity spent in directing this labour of love.
Sayali Bhagat On Returning To Mumbia
A little more than a year after she made her big screen debut as a leading lady, Sayali Bhagat would be returning to the Bollywood arena. While her The Train released in June last year, Good Luck would finally be arriving this July. In the interim she was seen in an item number for Halla Bol and though her song was promoted aggressively on the music channels, tanking of the film meant that there were not many aware about Sayali's performance in the film.
However in Good Luck, she can expect to turn 'lucky' since she is the sole heroine of the film which is directed by Aditya Datt of Aashiq Banaya Aapne fame. Marking the relaunch of Aryeman Ramsay who had made his debut with Raj Kumar Santoshi directed Family, Good Luck also features Ranvir Shorey and Lucky Ali in key roles.
The film was earlier planned for release late last year but certain unforeseen circumstances resulted in a delay. The makers are confident though that July would just be the right time for the film's release and are going all out to aggressively promote Good Luck that comes with music by Anu Malik. The film also stars Sharat Saxena, Mushtaq Khan and Archana Puran Singh in important roles.
