A World War II grenade was discovered amongst muddy potatoes.
Employees at the Mr. Chips factory in New Zealand explained that the non-explosive device was hidden amongst 28 tons of potatoes that were delivered to the facility in Auckland.
Richard Teurukura was monitoring a conveyor belt when he spotted the object, which he thought could be a muddy potato or an oddly shaped stone.
He cleaned some of the mud from the object and asked a co-worker, who pointed out that it appeared to be a grenade.
The police were called to the factory and the New Zealand Defence Force's explosive ordnance disposal team were summoned.
Roland Spitaels, the factory's operations manager, told Stuff.co.nz: "It looks very much like a muddy potato originally. The guys were really calm and collected and they reacted in an extremely professional manner."
