A woman arrived late for work during the first week of her new job as cows invaded her garden.
Emily Jones was stunned when she left her home in Rossendale, Lancashire, to find the two bovines grazing on the lawn in her front garden and refused to get in her car until the animals had gone.
She told Lancs Live: "I stayed in my house until they left.
"No way was I going outside! I was just about to set off for work and had to tell my manager I would be ten minutes late. She found it hilarious when I showed her the pictures."
Jones revealed that her neighbour came outside to pet the animals, who had left an unwelcome gift in her garden.
She said: "They are so friendly. But they did leave me a present on my rose bushes!"
