A woman was left heartbroken after her fiance planned their wedding as a replica of his ex's.
The 36-year-old woman explained that they had been planning their upcoming nuptials for six months, with the agreement being he she would organise the ceremony while he tackled the reception.
However, she wrote on Reddit: "Ned has been adding more and more stuff to the point that my wishes are kept to a minimum.
"I wanted a church wedding and a traditional reception. Now the wedding will be a night ceremony with forest-inspired settings, and a reception in the same fake ‘woodland’.
"We are supposed to have dignitaries as guests (I hate this) and he wants me to wear a floral crown (which I love). So he keeps inviting people from the government who keep turning him down.”
She admitted the plans weren't to her "taste" and her partner was "imposing" on her wishes, despite her paying for most of the wedding.
She decided to go on his phone one night without him realising, and realised what was happening.
She continued: "I found hundreds of pictures of his ex's (Laurie) wedding. I found her on social media and found her blog and her wedding website, plus the article on her wedding done by her planner. I'm sick to my stomach.”
She admitted it felt like her partner was trying to "copy and paste" his ex's ceremony, while their own proposal came after his former flame got married.
She added: "I can't marry someone who lied to me, planned a wedding with someone else in mind and hasn't been straight forward.”
