Ryan Krivoy - the manager at Coconuts in New York - decided to replace the eatery's wooden patio deck and discovered a variety of treasures, including a wedding ring engraved with the words, ''Mike & Lisa 08-21-15''.

He said: ''We were cleaning up the debris down there and we noticed a bit of sparkle, and we picked up a ring.

''Once we washed it off, we realised there was an engraving on the inside.''

An appeal was posted on the eatery's Facebook page, which successfully traced Mike and Lisa.

Lisa sent the restaurant pictures of her and her husband dining at the restaurant in 2017 as proof, explains that the ring had slipped off his greasy fingers and rolled between the wooden floorboards.
