A vicar was caught performing a sex act on a hoover.
John Jeffs was naked apart from a pair of stockings when he was caught in the act by a churchgoer who was attending a talk about Asperger's syndrome at The Baptist Centre in Middleton Cheney, Northamptonshire.
Jeffs was found guilty of indecent exposure after a trial at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (13.07.22). The church leader was fined and placed on the sex offenders register.
The court heard how Jeffs - a retired vicar - noticed the member of the public but decided to continue his romp with the vacuum cleaner because he felt "naughty".
It was revealed that the witness saw him "standing between two dark chairs, thrusting into a Henry hoover".
The defence solicitor claimed that Jeffs was coming to terms with the loss of his wife and had been in "a lot of pain" as he had been ignoring his health but the case went against him.
The magistrate said: "Why you thought it best to bring this matter to trial, I have no idea."
