A new UFO documentary suggests that life could be a computer game that is controlled by aliens.
'God Versus Aliens' - which is now streaming on Tubi and Ayozat - investigates whether life is merely a simulation that has been designed and controlled by extraterrestrials.
Simulation Theory was proposed by Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom in 2003 and even has Tesla tycoon Elon Musk as a convert - as he states the odds of the human race living in a "real" physical reality are a billion to one.
The idea would make religion and even the idea of God a construct of the computer game controlled by the aliens. The documentary explores the theory and the impact on the world's religions should we make first contact with extraterrestrial life and if it would negate any notion that God is real.
Harvard University's Professor Avi Loeb - a contributor to the documentary - said: "Extraterrestrial AI may form a kinship with human AI and bypass humanity altogether!"
The film also includes exclusive interviews with some of the globe's leading UFO experts including Nick Pope - who formerly ran the UK Ministry of Defence's UFO desk. He analyses whether aliens would bring their own religions and if they would impose them on the human race.
Other contributors include Seth Shostak, the Chief astronomer from SETI (Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence) who was also the scientific advisor on the Jodie Foster movie 'Contact' and the alleged UFO abductee Tony Topping.
There is also a dramatic contribution from the Reverend Daniel Thompson, who says: "First contact with ET will make people's heads explode!"
The documentary also investigates evidence for previous visitations from the Bible and other ancient texts and explores the role that AI has in the quest for alien life.
The film is being released at the ideal time following the revelations that the US government is holding crashed "non-human" craft and bodies.
Topping - who claims to have been taken by aliens since childhood - said: "The universe is populated and we are being lied to."
