The Peruvian air force is to re-open a UFO sighting department.
''increased sightings that are occurring in the country and that people are reporting to media''
The country's Department of Investigation of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena (DIFAA), which was axed five years ago, is to get back up and running following ''increased sightings that are occurring in the country and that people are reporting to media'', according to Colonel Julio Vucetich.
He said: ''For people who observe seemingly unconventional phenomena, which cause surprise or concern, know that there is an institution that will study and research your information.''
The DIFAA was originally set up in 2001 but had to be closed because of administrative issues.
