A man who identifies as 'trans-species' has had two fins implanted into his head.
Spaniard Manel Munoz says that he doesn't feel as if he is completely human and has now had the fins surgically attached as he considers himself to also be a cyborg.
He told local media in Spain: "I don't consider myself 100 percent human."
Munoz claims that the fins are connected to a microchip that allows him to 'hear' atmospheric pressure, humidity and changes in temperature.
He travelled over to Japan earlier this year to undergo the procedure and admits that he doesn't particularly care about what others think about his appearance.
Munoz said: "The skin area is sore. And I remove the fins to sleep and bathe. I'm used to people looking at me in the street, but the truth is it doesn't bother me."
