Bidets - which are common in mainland Europe and Asia - are recommended by experts because they are believed to be more environmentally friendly than loo roll.
Baby wipes are also preferred by top celebrities such as Will Smith and Will.i.am.
The 'Heartbreaker' rapper advised: ''Get some chocolate, wipe it on a wooden floor, and then try to get it up with some dry towels. You're going to get chocolate in the cracks.''
