NASA has formed a team of experts to probe the 143 unexplained objects spotted since 2004.
US Navy pilots have recorded videos of the unidentified flying objects moving at impossible speeds and Peake has claimed that little green men could be behind the phenomena.
The astronaut, who was the first Brit to perform a spacewalk outside the International Space Station in 2016, said: "Of course there aren't many answers to the questions because that's the whole point of the phenomena - it's still very much unexplained.
"But I think it's a good thing there are discussions being had. I think when you see the video footage, it's quite remarkable. Is it some sort of uncrewed robotic-type object from another civilisation?
"I heard one theory where a pilot was talking about how they've developed time travel.
"Is it something that's come back from the future? So, there are all these theories going around, but ultimately we do not know."
