Zara Rutherford carried out the “crazy” flying achievement in a Shark Ultralight aircraft -which can reach up to 186 miles per hour - zooming over 52 countries and five continents - totalling 32,000 miles - in just five months.

After landing, the teen said: ““I wasn't expecting so many people. It's really nice seeing so many friendly faces. It’s just really crazy. I haven’t quite processed it.”

In December, the pilot called the task “challenging” as she landed in South Korea from Russia.

She is now looking forward to her favourite lunch.

Zara said: "Well, so I have been waiting for this sandwich from a sandwich shop that's, like, really nearby, and I've been waiting five months to get it so I'm really looking forward to getting it hopefully soon,"

The previous record holder was Shaesta Waiz, who completed her quest, aged 30, in 2017.
