A surfer survived a shark attack by punching it twice.
Dylan Nacass struck the creature twice when it attacked him as he surfed in Australia.
The 23-year-old, who hails from France, escaped with only minor injuries to his legs and needed stitches for some puncture wounds.
Dylan told 9 News: ''I punched him one time, he stay in my legs. Two time after, he go.''
A second surfer, Matt Sedunary, had thought that Dylan was just ''mucking around''.
Matt explained: ''He started screaming. I honestly thought he was mucking around with his friends.''
Matt then rushed to help after realising that Dylan wasn't joking.
He said: ''I wasn't gonna just ditch this guy. Most people would do the same thing.''
Nacass admits that he is keen to surf again once his leg injuries heal.
He explained: ''I really want to go back soon ... just when my leg ... it's okay ... I'm going to go back surfing soon.''
