Viagra is not being supplied to Russian men

Vladimir Putin and his troops have suffered another blow after the US global pharmaceutical and health corporation Viatris - the brand owner of the erectile dysfunction pill - halted supplies to Moscow.

Reports claim that Russia was notified of the decision to suspend the supplies last year following Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

A Russian Trade Ministry spokesperson said: "Viatris LLC informed us about the suspension of the supply of the Viagra drug in the dosage form of a tablet."

Russian experts are now racing to produce their own version and companies making male impotence drugs have increased both production and sales in the wake of the ban.

A comment on the news of the suspended Viagra supply read: "This is a blow below the belt from the West against Putin and Russian men."

Viagris have admitted that its operations have been impacted by "trade controls, sanctions, supply chain and staffing challenges and other economic considerations related to the conflict".

A report from the company warned that this "may negatively impact our financial results in future periods".
