A supermarket was left covered in smashed eggs after a fight broke out.
The row occurred at a Tesco store in Middlesbrough and was sparked by a woman who continued shopping and talking as the store fell silent to mark Remembrance Sunday in the UK.
A witness told the Metro newspaper: "We were all stood still, observing the two minutes’ silence when we heard lots of screaming and shouting.
"Everyone was looking at each other, we were like “what’s going on”. I heard someone shout “you’ve disrespected my mother”."
She added that broken eggs were strewn across the shop floor following the incident.
A police spokesman added: "Following a verbal altercation, reportedly involving a man and woman and another two women, a man allegedly assaulted the two women."
