A squirrel “pounced on” a Louisiana sheriff’s deputy.
A squirrel attacked a Louisiana police officer
The Livingston Sheriff’s Office shared footage on social media of a traffic stop arrest where “things got squirrelly” after the animal - which was a pet travelling in the offending vehicle - jumped out of the car.
In a Facebook post, they wrote: "Upon a vehicle search, a 'pet' feral squirrel -- which was inside -- pounced on the deputies.”
The video shows the police officer react in panic as the woodland creature clambers on him.
According to the post, the animal was eventually returned to its cage and both were unharmed.
