Eating nuts can boost your sex life.
Scientists have discovered that folic acid - a nutrient found in peanuts and walnuts - raises sex drive and improves orgasms, particularly amongst postmenopausal females.
Other sources of folic acid includes peas, beans, bread, eggs and leafy vegetables.
The study conducted in Iran involved 100 middle-aged women - half of whom were given a folic acid supplement every day for eight weeks while others took a fake pill.
Researcher Dr. Hedyeh Riazi explained how desire, orgasms, satisfaction and arousal improved more in the folate group.
Writing in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, she said: "Our findings suggest that folic acid possibly improves sexual function in postmenopausal women.
"Larger studies are needed to confirm this."
Past research has shown that folic acid can help men battle erectile dysfunction by improving blood flow.
