A record-breaking sheep has sold for the same price as a Lamborghini.
Salopian Solid God, a ram lamb bred by Phil Poole, sold for £210,000 in Scotland to set a new benchmark price for a Suffolk sheep when he was sold in a two-way split to breeders Charlie Boden and Robert Jenkinson.
The price, which is equivalent to 200,000 in traditional guineas, smashed the previous record of 90,000 guineas that had been set in 2004. The eye-watering sum is identical to the cost of the Lamborghini Huracan Evo supercar.
Poole said: "I knew we had a good lamb and we were looking forward to the sale.
"Salopian has always invested in excellent bloodlines, but we didn't expect to smash the society record by 220 per cent."
