A seagull has been filmed picking up a live rabbit and swallowing it whole.
In footage captured on Skomer Island, off the Pembrokeshire coast - which is managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales - the bird can be seen pulling the animal out of a hole in the ground before gulping it down.
According to the team of wardens at Skomer Island, rabbits are a main staple of seagulls' diets.
They said: ''Rabbits are an important part of their diet when none or very few small seabirds or seabird chicks are available.''
The island sees day-trippers between May and mid-July but is quiet for the rest of the year.
