A restaurant claims to have created a burger that makes pregnant women go into labour.
The Suburban restaurant in Minnesota has argued that their 'Labour Inducer' burger is capable of making expectant women enter labour within 24 hours of eating, and say that it has worked 31 times so far.
The snack features beef, caramelised onions, spicy Cajun remoulade, mustard and honey-cured bacon wrapped up in a pretzel bun.
Kelsey Berset, who co-owns the restaurant with her mother and her sister Cindy, says the burger worked after she ate it while expecting.
She said: "I figured I was 38 weeks pregnant, so why not indulge? About six hours later, my contractions started."
Despite the restaurant's claims, no scientific evidence suggests that eating certain foods can help induce labour as there is no known link between the stomach and the uterus.
