A dead rapper's body was propped up on stage in a nightclub.
Video footage emerged of Markelle Morrow's corpse on stage at the Bliss nightclub in Washington D.C. earlier this week which showed mourners dancing around him.
The rapper - also known by his stage name Goonew - was killed during a suspected robbery last month.
The nightclub commemorated his life with an event branded 'The Final Show', which had a $40 entrance fee.
Bliss has now apologised after the event was met with a backlash and claimed that management "wasn't made aware of what would transpire".
A social media post read: "Our deepest condolences to Goonew's family, friends, and fans. Bliss was contacted by a local funeral home to rent our venue for Goonew's home-going celebration.
"Bliss was never made aware of what would transpire. We sincerely apologise to all those who may be upset or offended. Please keep Goonew's family and friends in your prayers at this difficult time."
