Dog owners believe that their pooches are psychic.
A new study has revealed that a majority of Brits claim that their canines have used mystic powers to predict the weather, spot unsuitable partners and even pick the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Adem Fehmi, a canine behaviourist at pet care site Rover.com, which conducted the study, said: "Dogs are known for having strong senses - from their incredible sense of smell to their sensitive hearing. Their intuition is not something to be taken for granted either - as it can be just as prominent."
Owners say when dogs have a premonition their ears prick up and they get people's attention by barking or giving them their paw.
Fehmi added: "Just like humans, dogs are individuals and so the way they express their emotions and how they relay what their senses are telling them varies from dog to dog and - more common than not - circumstance to circumstance."
