Criminals tried to smuggle drugs into a prison via pigeon.
Jail guards in Canada seized the bird carrying a backpack of crystal meth as crooks attempted to get the substance behind bars.
Prison boss John Randle admitted that he had never encountered the unique method of drug smuggling during his 13-year career.
He told Global News: "It was inside the walls and appeared to have a small package, sort of like a backpack, attached to it.
"There was some creative work needed to catch it because the bird moved around quite a bit."
Randle added: "It's definitely scary with the fact that it was crystal meth that was found on the bird, because that causes a whole lot of problems.
"It's almost like the inmates and the criminals are going back in time and using older technology."
