Princess Anne always keeps a kiwi in her handbag.
The 71-year-old princess is one of the hardest-working members of the British royal family and it has now been revealed that fruit is the key to her energy.
The Princess Royal's daughter Zara Tindall says: "She always has a kiwi fruit."
Anne's penchant for kiwis is disclosed in the royal biography 'Queen Of Our Times' by Robert Hardman. The author revealed that the princess is not fond of eating lunch and prefers to delve into her handbag for some fruit.
Science backs the royal's choice of fruit as kiwis are an excellent source of vitamin C and vitamin K and are the ideal snack to provide an instant energy boost.
The fruit is also good for heart health, digestive health and immunity.
Kiwi's are also high in antioxidants - with research revealing that the daily consumption of high levels of antioxidants can prevent certain cancers and limit the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
