A foul mouthed parrot has been telling its new owners to "f*** off".
Jesse the African Grey refused to talk after her owner died and was so grief stricken that Jesse plucked out her feathers.
The tropical bird, who was rehomed by animal rescue workers in Aberdale, South Wales, met her new owner Rachel Leather, who resides with her partner, with a very rude welcome.
Speaking to DevonLive, Rachel said: “He loves to make fart noises, jokes and swear. His language is awful.”
The foul-mouthed bird, who has settled into her new home which she shares with five cats and two dogs, has been making Rachel “roar with laughter” after calling her “babe” as well as telling her to “f*** off".
She added: “We absolutely love him. When I tell Jesse he’s funny he responds: ‘Yes, f***ing hilarious!’
“He even watches my partner play PlayStation and laughs when his character has died.”
Parrots usually have an extensive vocabulary as they learn by listening to a mimicking sounds.
However a traumatised Jesse became lost for words and could only muster a “goodbye” to RSPCA.
Since being rehomed, the nine-year-old parrot has been growing in confidence as she settles in.
