A parking space has sold for a world-record $1.3 million (£930,000) in Hong Kong.

Several spots were up for sale at a luxury development in the city's The Peak residential area with one entering the record books, according to local media.
The spaces are located at the Mount Nicholson development overlooking the Victoria Harbour, which has some of the most valuable homes in Asia.
Space is often at a premium in Hong Kong and the city is so crowded that it regularly tops lists of the world's most expensive places to live.
The sale beat the previous record parking space price which was also set in Hong Kong back in 2019 - when a spot at office tower The Centre fetched $980,000.
