A woman was reunited with her cat after more than 10 years.
The Tooele City Animal Shelter revealed that a stray feline had been brought into the shelter, where they scanned a microchip that identified that the pet was called Mocha and provided contact details.
The unnamed man revealed that the cat had been missing for over a decade and his daughter visited the shelter to reunite with her long-lost pet.
The shelter explained how the story proves the importance of bringing in stray animals.
In a Facebook post, it wrote: ''Bringing the animals to the shelter is one of the only ways to increase the chances of their owner finding them.
''That skinny, matted stray cat or dog that you just saw on the street may be the next pet that has been missing for over a decade, with heartbroken owners who have lost hope.''
